Job summary

Affinity Health Management is seeking a licensed massage therapist to join our hospice interdisciplinary team. You will provide massage therapy to hospice patients, develop a plan of care, schedule visits, and address patient comfort in accordance with the plan.

Responsibilities include monitoring outcomes, coordinating care across settings, documenting visits in the EMR, educating families, and contributing to program growth while following HIPAA and safety policies.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a credentialed school of Massage Therapy.
• Licensed in Ohio as a Licensed Massage Therapist.
• Minimum of one-year experience in massage therapy in a healthcare setting.
• Oncology Massage Therapy Certification is a plus, or ability to obtain.
• Excellent observation, verbal and written communication and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated team-building capability.
• Ability to function autonomously with integrity and strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Monitors patient outcomes for massage therapy services.
• Coordinates care for all care settings (skilled nursing, assisted living, home).
• Provides massage therapy per referral and patient care plan.
• Works with the Interdisciplinary Group to set therapeutic objectives.
• Documents massage therapy in the EMR accurately and timely.
• Follows safety, infection control policies, and required trainings.
• Educates patients, families, and caregivers about massage therapy benefits.
• Maintains relationships with staff and referral sources to grow the program.
• Complies with HIPAA and regulatory requirements; participates in continuing education.
