Job summary

The Pennant Group, Inc. is seeking a Homemaker to provide hospice care in Gillette, WY under the direction of the RN. You will work with the Hospice team to support patients at home according to the IDG care plan.

Responsibilities include meal prep, light housekeeping, shopping assistance, and emotional support for patients and families. A high school diploma or GED is required, with 2 years of nursing assistant experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of nursing assistant experience preferred.
• Active patient contact within past three years preferred.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and access to transportation.

Responsibilities

• Performing essential homemaker services for patient wellbeing at home.
• Preparing meals including special diet.
• Assists with shopping when patient has no other resources.
• Provides emotional support and compassionate care to patient and family.
• Reports changes in patient condition to the RN and follows OSHA/ infection control policies.
