Job summary

Crown Hospice in Missouri is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide in-home or facility-based patient care, assist with daily living activities, monitor health changes, and offer emotional support to patients and families during end-of-life care. You will work as part of a caring team, complete an approved CNA program, and lift up to 100 pounds as needed.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved CNA program.
• At least 1 year of direct care experience preferred (hospice or home care a plus).
• Ability to lift up to 75-100 pounds and stand or walk for prolonged periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and personal hygiene.
• Change linens, wash laundry, clean living areas, and maintain a safe environment.
• Measure and report vital signs, intake & output, and observe/report health changes.
• Assist with feeding, hydration, ambulation, and patient positioning.
• Support medication adherence as directed by nurses or physicians.
• Prepare meals in accordance with dietary needs and assist with nourishment between meals.
• Offer companionship, conversation, and emotional support.
• Accompany patients to medical appointments or errands as needed.
• Provide care for pediatric patients or disabled family members when applicable.
• Document care and communicate effectively with the nursing team.
• Assist with post-mortem care as needed in hospice settings.
