Job summary

Gentiva Hospice in Dothan, AL seeks a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide direct patient care in Barbour County. You will support patients at home, assist with daily activities, meals, personal care, and mobility under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and clinical team.

Ideal candidates have a valid CNA license, CPR certification, a valid driver's license, and hospice or home health experience.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
• Six months of patient care experience in hospice, home health, ICU, geriatric, or oncology preferred.
• Current driver's license and automobile insurance.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Report to Administrator or Nurse Supervisor and work under RN supervision.
• Help patients with personal hygiene and grooming.
• Assist in maintaining a safe, clean environment.
• Prepare light meals and assist with feeding as needed.
• Assist patient with ambulation and use of walkers or wheelchairs.
• Assist with light housekeeping and linen changes.
• Document visits accurately and timely.
• Participate in Quality Improvement activities.
• Attend staff meetings and onboarding with Nurse Preceptor.
