Job summary

Gentiva is seeking a dedicated Hospice Aide/CNA to provide compassionate, hands-on care for patients in home, facility, or inpatient settings. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor conditions, and support families with emotional care in a safe, respectful environment.

Requirements include an active CNA license, CPR certification, a valid driver’s license, and at least six months of direct patient care experience.

Qualifications

• CPR certification required.
• Six months of direct patient care experience required.
• Active CNA license in the state of employment required.
• Driver’s license and reliable vehicle with insurance required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct personal care to terminally ill patients.
• Assist with personal hygiene, grooming, and toileting.
• Support safe mobility with walkers and wheelchairs.
• Help with meal preparation, feeding, and light housekeeping.
• Observe and report changes in patient’s condition.
• Offer emotional support to patients and families.
• Maintain accurate documentation of visits.
• Attend team meetings and participate in Quality Improvement activities.
