Area Agency on Aging of Western Arkansas, Inc. is seeking a compassionate Hospice Certified Nursing Assistant to provide daily living assistance and personal care in patients' homes or facilities in Fort Smith, AR, following established care plans.

The role emphasizes helping clients stay independent in a safe, clean environment. The position offers paid training, retirement plan with employer match, and competitive pay at $17.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate issued from the state of Arkansas.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Reliable transportation and proof of state required vehicle insurance.
• Current negative TB skin test or state health card.
• Certified in CPR/First Aid.
• Must pass background checks, maltreatment checks, and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Daily Living Skills: provide housekeeping, laundry, shopping for food, meals, snacks, errands, and other household tasks.
• Personal Care: grooming, bathing and dressing assistance.
• Transfer & Mobility: aid mobility, transfers, ambulation and exercises.
• Companionship, Comfort & Safety: provide company, comfort and safety when caregiver is away.
• Care Plans & Charting: follow care plan and notify nurses of condition changes; record in EMR.
• Professional Development: attend quarterly in-service trainings.
• Company Culture: maintain professional image and wear agency ID.
• Other Duties: perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
