Job summary

Gentiva is seeking a compassionate Hospice Aide/CNA to provide essential personal care and emotional support to patients at home, in assisted living facilities, or inpatient units. The role emphasizes comfort, dignity, and compassionate care during end-of-life journeys.

Requirements include an active CNA license in the state, CPR certification, a valid driver’s license with reliable vehicle, and at least six months of direct patient care experience. Home health and hospice settings are preferred.

Qualifications

• Active CNA license in the state of employment (Required).
• Current CPR certification (Required).
• Driver’s license and reliable vehicle with insurance (Required).
• Six (6) months of direct patient care experience (Required).
• Comfortable working in home settings, hospice facilities, or long-term care environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct personal care to terminally ill patients.
• Assist with personal hygiene, grooming, and toileting.
• Support safe mobility with walkers and wheelchairs.
• Help with meal preparation, feeding, and light housekeeping.
• Observe and report changes in patient condition.
