Job summary

Beacon Hospice, Amedisys is seeking a CNA Hospice Aide to serve patients in the Augusta to Boothbay area. Join one of the nation’s leading home health and hospice providers at a role that combines personal care with compassion, flexibility, and growth in a home setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current state CNA certification/registration.
• CNA experience within the last two years.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provides personal care services to patients.
• Assists with ambulation, transfers and positioning.
• Plans and prepares nutritious meals and assists with feeding.
• Performs homemaking and environmental services.
• Observes and reports changes in patient status; report to primary nurse.
• Follows written instructions for personal care.
• Assists with prescribed exercises and performs simple urine tests.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Current state certification (or registration) as a nurse assistant

CNA experience within the last two years

Current CPR certification
