Job summary

BrightSpring Health Services, operating Adoration Hospice in the Chattanooga, TN area, seeks a dedicated CNA - Hospice Aide to provide compassionate 1:1 patient care. This full-time position offers stability in a hospice setting, with opportunities to support patients and families during difficult times.

You will perform personal care, monitor patient status, assist mobility, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, dignified care under state regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum six months experience providing personal care.
• Must be 18+ years of age.
• Complete a minimum of 75 hours of classroom and supervised practical training, 16 hours of the 75 must be completed prior to practical training.
• Possess and maintain CPR certification where required.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care.
• Understands hospice philosophy and comfortable caring for the terminally ill.
• Ability to work with little direct supervision.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and good organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Personal Care: Help with bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility, and repositioning.
• Monitor & Report: Observe and report changes in the patient's condition.
• Mobility: Assist with ambulation, transfers, ROM exercises and safe equipment use.
• Medication Assistance: Help with self-administered medications per state regulations.
• Emotional Support: Offer companionship and comfort to patients and families.
• Light Housekeeping: Change linens, assist with meals, and maintain a clean space.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
• Team Participation: Collaborate with hospice interdisciplinary team.
