Job summary

YoloCares is a nonprofit hospice provider in California, seeking a Caregiver to assist residents with personal care, homemaking duties, and basic health observations. Training will be provided at the Davis office, with Joshua’s House in South Natomas as the primary work site.

The role requires CPR certification (or within 90 days), strong communication, and adherence to HIPAA and reporting policies. Schedule includes mornings, afternoons, and nights. Salary range $45,760–$49,920 yearly.

Qualifications

• Possesses effective verbal and written communication skills to report and document patient care observations and facilities-related matters.
• Ability to perform effectively under stress and when confronted with critical or unexpected events.
• CPR certification is required or must be obtained within 90 days if offered the position.
• Commitment to confidentiality and protection of resident information in compliance with HIPAA.
• Ability to successfully meet YoloCares’ background screening requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assists with or provides personal care per resident’s Plan of Care as directed by clinical staff.
• Provides homemaker services, meals, and other duties per Plan of Care.
• Records vital signs and observes changes as requested by staff.
• Documents all resident care and observations per policy and participates in team meetings.
