Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current state certification (CNA) as per state requirements.
• CNA experience within the last two years.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provides personal care services to patients.
• Applies safety principles and proper body mechanics during care, transfers, ambulation, positioning, and light housekeeping.
• Plans and prepares nutritious meals and assists with feeding.
• Performs homemaking and environmental services as assigned.
• Observes, reports, and documents changes in patient status and reports to the primary nurse when needed.
• Follows written instructions for personal care provided by a registered nurse.
• Assists patients with prescribed exercises as directed by the nurse or therapist.
• Performs and records simple urine tests for sugar, acetone, and albumin.
• Other duties as assigned.
