Job summary

The Pennant Group, Inc. is seeking a Certified Hospice Aide to work under the supervision of a registered nurse. The role involves personal care, observation, documentation, and compassionate communication to support patients and their families in a home health setting.

Qualified candidates will have completed the required training hours, be at least 18 years old, hold CPR certification, and be able to work with little supervision while showing empathy and a calm demeanor in patients' homes.

Qualifications

• Meets training requirements as described: 75 hours of classroom and supervised training with 16 hours practical training.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform personal care including baths, oral hygiene, changing bed linens, and assisting with dressing.
• Observe, report, and document patient condition and care performed to Case Manager.
• Provide compassionate communication with patient and family, while maintaining confidentiality.
• Assist with meals, feeding, and nutrition planning as assigned.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and range of motion as directed by the hospice nurse.
• Keep living area clean, organized, and safe; observe safety with equipment.
• Assist with medication reminders as allowed by state regulations.
• Support caregivers and provide respite as appropriate.
