AMEDISYS HOME HEALTH in Louisiana is seeking a compassionate Hospice Aide for full-time day shifts. You will provide personal care and support to patients at home, helping them maintain comfort and safety.

Responsibilities include assisting with meals, mobility, homemaking, observing patient status, and documenting changes for the nurse. CPR certified CNAs with a valid driver's license are preferred.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current CNA certification/registration as per state requirements.
• CNA experience within the last two years.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and liability insurance.

Aufgaben

• Provides personal care services to patients.
• Applies safety principles and proper body mechanics to care tasks.
• Plans and prepares nutritious meals, assists with feeding.
• Performs homemaking and other environmental services as assigned.
• Observes, reports, and documents changes in patient's status.
• Follows written instructions for personal care from a registered nurse.
• Assists patients with prescribed exercises as instructed by nurse or therapist.
• Performs simple urine tests for sugar, acetone, and albumin.
• Other duties as assigned.

Kenntnisse

CNA experience
