Job summary

CorsoCare Hospice is seeking a dedicated Hospice Aide and CNA to join our health services team serving Plymouth/Canton area. The Hospice Aide will work under the supervision of the Staff RN/Case Manager and Clinical Manager to provide personal care in patients' homes.

Requirements include current Michigan CNA certification, at least 1 year of hospice/home health experience, a valid driver's license with reliable transportation, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Currently certified as a CNA in Michigan.
• Minimum of 1 year Hospice Aide experience in health care or home care.
• CPR certification preferred, but not required.
• Current driver’s license with current automobile insurance and reliable transportation.
• Excellent communications skills.
• Self-directed team player with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining a clean, healthful, safe environment.
• Assist patient with ambulation and daily activities per care plan.
• Provide nourishment and fluids per patient needs.
• Record vital signs and maintain infection control procedures.
• Gives emotional and psychological support to patient and family.
