Job summary

VitalCaring is seeking a compassionate Hospice Aide/CNA to provide comfort, dignity, and end-of-life care in patients' homes. This role focuses on presence, empathy, and supporting families during difficult times.

You must be certified as a CNA (Home Health Aide and Long Term Care per state requirements) and hold CPR certification; reliable transportation and the ability to travel between patient homes are essential.

Qualifications

Completion of state-required Hospice Aide/CNA training.
Current CPR certification.
Ability to follow care plans, document clearly, and communicate effectively.
Comfort working with end-of-life patients and families.
Strong empathy and emotional intelligence.
Reliable transportation and ability to travel between patient homes.
Patient-first mindset with respect for dignity and quality of life.

Responsibilities

Assist patients with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding).
Support comfort through repositioning and mobility assistance.
Provide light housekeeping to maintain a clean, safe home.
Observe changes and report to RN/Case Manager.
Document care accurately and communicate with compassion.
