Job summary

Aveanna Healthcare in Austin is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for day or evening shifts, full-time or part-time, to care for an adult client at home. The role offers flexible scheduling, local 24/7 support, and competitive benefits including health/dental/vision and life insurance.

Responsibilities include performing skilled nursing tasks per care plans, documenting care, and educating patients and families. Licensing, CPR, and safe transport are required where applicable.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of practice
• Current CPR certification (or ability to obtain after hire)
• TB test current within 12 months
• Six months hands-on nursing experience preferred but not required
• Reliability with transportation and driving
• Ability to travel to patient locations

Responsibilities

• Provide and document skilled nursing care per care plan and physician orders
• Observe and assess patient condition; report changes to supervisor/physician
• Document activities, assessments, and care coordination in a timely manner
• Develop and update nursing care plans
• Respond to changes in patient needs to ensure safety and outcomes
• Educate patients and families on disease process, self-care, and prevention strategies
• Maintain ongoing knowledge through continuing education and competency evaluations
