Job summary

Caretenders, part of LHC Group, is hiring an Occupational Therapist Assistant to provide therapy to restore patients' physical abilities in a home care setting. You will work under supervision, following the plan of care and state laws, with emphasis on patient education and multi-disciplinary collaboration.

Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapy Assistant licensure in state of practice.
• Current driver’s license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
• Preferred CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire.
• Demonstrate ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Demonstrate ability to work independently.
• Good communication, writing, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow all state laws governing the provision of occupational therapy in home care, per supervising OT.
• Follow plan of care and assist with evidence-based treatment within scope.
• Observe, record, and report patient responses to treatment to nurse supervisor/physician.
• Instruct patient, family, caregiver, and health care team in therapy within scope.
• Function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition.
