Job summary

NHC HomeCare Anderson in Anderson, SC is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team. The OT supervises and participates in implementing therapeutic techniques for rehabilitation of patients with physical disabilities, injuries, or diseases.

The successful candidate will coordinate and provide Occupational Therapy services, document care, and consult with physicians, families, and other health professionals.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program as required.
• Must be licensed/registered in the state where practicing.
• Active membership in state/national OT associations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and supervises Occupational Therapy services.
• Provides Occupational Therapy services as ordered by the referring physician and delegates portions of the treatment program to the licensed OT Assistant.
• Instructs OT staff in delegated functions including precautions, problems, contraindications, and progress planning.
• Evaluates, plans and supervises treatments with short‑ and long‑term goals for patients with physician approval and periodic re‑evaluations.
• Maintains patient care records to meet third‑party and state/federal requirements.
• Consults with family members, physicians, and other health care professionals as appropriate.
