Job summary

Riverside Health System in Smithfield, VA is seeking a Home Health/Hospice Aide to provide personal care and environmental services under supervision of an RN or PT. You must have reliable transportation for home visits and may work weekends/holidays according to census and staffing needs.

Preferred CNA experience in home care; CPR/BLS certification; a valid driver's license and ability to drive RHS business are required.

Qualifications

• Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification required by Virginia VDHP.
• CPR/BLS certification required by AHA/ARC/ISA within 30 days of hire.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive RHS business regularly.
• Must have reliable transportation to perform home care/hospice visits.
• Experience in nurse aide/home care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care, comfort measures, and environmental services to patients.
• Assist with hygiene, ambulation, and medications as allowed by state regulations.
• Report changes in patient condition to supervising RN.
• Provide nutritional support as needed.
• Support team members and participate in training activities.
