Job summary

UnitedHealth Group’s Willcare division (part of LHC Group) seeks a Personal Care Assistant I or II to provide environmental, nutritional, personal care and household support to help a client remain at home.

The role includes assisting with daily living activities, transfers, meal prep, medication reminders, appointments and documentation, with EVV usage as applicable. NY state requirements apply; pay ranges from $13 to $20 per hour; benefits available.

Qualifications

• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance
• Must have completed a training program in home health aide services OR equivalent exam OR one full year experience in providing personal care services
• CPR certification preferred or able to complete within 90 days of hire
• 6+ months of experience in home care
• Ability to work flexible hours as required to meet patients' needs

Responsibilities

• Provides or assists clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, hair, teeth, nails, skin care; transfers and ambulation
• Assists with household tasks essential to client care and accompanies client to appointments or outings
• Records vital signs and responds according to training; maintains safe home environment with equipment
• Prepares meals as needed and may assist with feeding
• Uses EVV program as applicable and reports observations to supervisor
