Job summary

Maxim Healthcare Services is seeking a dedicated Home Health Aide to provide essential personal care per the patient’s plan of care. You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor vitals, support safe transfers, and ensure safety in the home environment.

Reliable communication with the patient, family and supervising nurse is required. Qualifications include CPR certification, ability to follow written instructions, and completion of Maxim’s competency program.

Qualifications

• Meets all training requirements in accordance with state and federal laws when applicable.
• Ability to read, follow written instructions and document care given.
• Possess and maintains current CPR certification in accordance with state regulation.
• PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Successful completion of Maxim screening examinations.
• Participation and completion of Maxim’s competency program. Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist patient with daily activities according to plan of care.
• Bathtubs, oral hygiene, dressing, toileting, feeding as required.
• Take and record temperatures, pulse, respiration and blood pressure as ordered.
• Support safe transfer and ambulation techniques.
• Assist with exercises per plan of care and mobility.
• Perform simple procedures as ordered and monitor patient safety.
• Observe patient condition and report changes to supervising nurse.
