Qualifications

• Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older.
• Certificate from a Home Health Aide training program per State requirements with ongoing in-service education to maintain the certificate.
• Demonstrated maturity for good work relationships with client, family, and agency personnel.
• Sincere interest and sympathetic attitude toward caring for the sick and disabled.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and assistance with hygiene, toileting, dressing, walking, and feeding a client.
• Assist with meals, mobility, and positioning as instructed by the plan of care.
• Assist with certain treatments and therapy as ordered by physician and nursing supervisor.
• Remind client to take medications and assist with routines as directed.
• Report changes in client condition to the agency/nursing supervisor.
