Job summary

Avid Health at Home, LLC is hiring Personal Care Aides (PCA) to deliver in-home care for clients in Fayette County and surrounding areas. PCAs work under the supervision of the Care Manager to provide ADL/IADL support, personal care, and companionship in clients' homes.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, meals, light housekeeping, and accompanying clients to appointments while following physician plans and care plans.

Qualifications

• Current PCA certification.
• Licensure/Certification: Board or Specific State of License.
• Be in compliance with all existing regulations and company policies.
• CPR preferred and may be required for some clients.
• Bi-lingual – English/Spanish a plus.
• Must meet transportation, language, and cultural requirements for branch needs.

Responsibilities

• Implements and provides day-to-day ADL/IADL support to clients as ordered by physician’s plan and care plan.
• Assist with personal care including bathing, grooming, dressing, and grooming activities.
• Assist with elimination, transfers, ambulation, and therapy exercises under a Registered Therapist.
• Assist with light household tasks related to client’s health and care plan (meals, housekeeping, laundry).
• Provide companionship and stimulation; accompany clients to appointments.
• Remind client for self-administration of medications (Do Not Administer Medications).
• Accurately document shift details and services within established time parameters.
• Follow HIPAA and universal precautions; maintain confidentiality.
