Job summary

Angels Care Home Health in Lincoln, NE is seeking a Home Health Aide to assist with personal care and daily living activities in patients' homes. You will observe, report, and document patient conditions under RN supervision, and help maintain a safe, clean home environment while coordinating with families.

The role requires 18+ years, state training, a valid driver's license, and reliable transportation. Prior HHA/CNA experience or completion of a CNA/CHHA program is preferred.

Qualifications

• Meets the training requirements of the State.
• At least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma Preferred.
• Must have current driver's license.
• Reliable transportation with current and valid auto liability insurance.
• At least one year's experience as HHA or CNA, OR completion of CNA/CHHA program.
• Must be able to read and write in English and follow instructions.
• Demonstrates interest in welfare of ill and elderly.
• CPR (if required) and Hepatitis profile.
• Aide Competency Evaluation Skills Checklist and written Skills Test.
• Ability to read/write and document care.
• Is self-directing with ability to work with little supervision.
• Calm demeanor in a patient's home.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal healthcare and related services to the client in their place of residence.
• Assist in providing a safe and clean environment.
• Work cooperatively with patient and family and share observations with the supervisor.
• Work under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse.
