Job summary

Brookdale is seeking a caring Home Health Aide to provide direct care to residents under the supervision of a licensed nurse. You will assist with activities of daily living, support residents in becoming as independent as possible, and document care in the resident's chart.

The role requires a High school diploma or GED and a 75-hour HHA certificate, with 1–3 months of related experience preferred. State certification and safety protocols are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 75-hour Home Health Aide certificate required.
• 1-3 months related experience and/or training; health care experience preferred.
• Must meet state certification requirements and follow regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to residents under supervision of a nurse.
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transfers).
• Encourage residents to participate in their own care when possible.
• Document care in the resident's clinical record.
• Follow infection control and safety policies; maintain confidentiality.
• Maintain clean, safe environment and assist with routine housekeeping as assigned.
• Respond promptly to resident requests and communicate status to the nurse.
