Job summary

University Home Care in Rockwood, MI is seeking compassionate Home Health Aides to provide in-home care for clients. You will assist with daily living activities, promote independence, and ensure safety and dignity in the home setting.

Responsibilities include personal care, mobility assistance, medication reminders, light housekeeping, companionship, and reporting changes in condition. A background check is required and a valid driver’s license or reliable transportation is preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Home Health Aide or in a similar caregiving role is a plus.
• Ability to follow care plans and instructions accurately.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate, patient, and dependable.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Help with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety at all times.
• Provide medication reminders and assist with basic health monitoring.
• Perform light housekeeping duties including meal preparation, laundry, and cleaning.
• Offer companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Document care provided and report any changes in client’s condition.
