Job summary

First Day Homecare - Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a personal care aide to provide compassionate care to clients. The role includes assisting with daily living activities, ensuring client safety, and maintaining accurate documentation.

Candidates must have completed an Indiana certification program, possess good communication skills, and maintain current CPR certification. A valid driver’s license and an insured vehicle are required. Flexible scheduling is offered with opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• At least eighteen (18) years of age required.
• Demonstrated ability to read and write is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and transportation to clients.
• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
• Report changes in client’s condition to supervisor.
• Document care provided and maintain accurate records.
• Collaborate with the client's care team.
• Promote client safety and follow infection control practices.
• Attend in-service programs and notify supervisors of educational needs.

Skills

Good verbal, written, and interpersonal skills

Ability to follow a written care plan

Licensed driver with insured automobile

Current CPR certification

Education

Completion of formal Indiana certification or competency training program
