Job summary

Interim HealthCare is seeking a Home Health Aide (HHA / Caregiver) in Fort Lauderdale, FL to provide personal care and support to seniors at home. You will assist with daily living activities, range of motion, medication reminders, and companionship, while maintaining a safe home environment and documenting conditions for supervisors.

The role offers hourly pay between $15.00 and $16.00, 1:1 client ratios, and the chance to set your own schedule, with online training and CEUs offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent) and active Home Health Aide (HHA) certificate in FL.
• 1 yr of experience in a healthcare role, preferred
• Level 2 Background Screening (fingerprinting)
• CPR/BLS certification
• Covid-19 vaccination card
• Valid FL driver’s license, auto insurance and transportation
• Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide the personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation and companionship
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises
• Provide medication reminders, document their condition and notify a supervisor of any concerns
• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways
• Participate in activities that bring clients joy such as puzzles, games, reading and hobbies
