Job summary

ComForCare Home Care is seeking a Home Health Aide to support clients in their homes within the Michigan metro area. Shifts are available and schedules are matched to your availability.

You will join a team focused on helping clients live their best life possible, with thorough orientations each week and opportunities for advancement. The role includes personal care, companionship, light homemaking, and medication assistance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• State-approved CNA or Home Health Aide course.
• At least six months experience as a CNA or HHA.
• Be listed in good standing on the State’s Caregiver Registry.
• Achieves a minimum score of 80% on the Home Health Aide competency exam.
• Meets passing criteria on DEARS Ethics test.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and have use of an insured automobile or access to transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming, nail/skin care, transfers, and mobility.
• Provide companionship and respite services; perform homemaking tasks such as vacuuming, cleaning, laundry and meal prep.
• Assist with medications that the client self-administers.
