Job summary

Gratitude Homecare in New Jersey is seeking compassionate caregivers to provide high-quality, one-on-one in-home care for an elderly client in Alpine, NJ. You will assist with personal care, mobility, meals, and light housekeeping while ensuring safety and comfort.

We offer competitive pay, flexible schedules, and growth opportunities. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required, with shifts including Monday–Friday 4P-8P and Sunday 8A-8P, plus other opportunities.

Qualifications

• Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting and be willing to continually learn.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Willingness to work different shifts, including nights and weekends.
• Minimum 1 year healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; experience as a caregiver.
• Hoyer Lift experience (specific to client).
• Commitment to health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly or post-surgery patients.
• Remind clients to take prescribed medication.
• Help with mobility around the house or outside.
• Assist with personal care and hygiene.
• Plan and prepare meals.
• Complete client's shopping or accompany them to shop.
• Perform housekeeping duties.
• Report unusual incidents and act quickly in emergencies.
• Offer activities essential for daily living and assist with meals.
