Job summary

Interim HealthCare is hiring a Home Health Aide (HHA)/Caregiver in Virginia. You’ll provide personal care and support to seniors living at home, assisting with bathing, dressing, meals, and mobility while promoting safety and independence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent) and active Home Care Aide (HCA) registration in Virginia
• CPR certification; six months of healthcare experience preferred
• Covid-19 vaccination card
• Valid driver’s license
• Valid I-9 documentation
• Current TB test or X-ray
• Compassionate nature and good communication abilities
• Companion/Dementia/Alzheimer experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide the personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation and companionship
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises
• Provide medication reminders, document their condition and notify a supervisor of any concerns
• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways
• Participate in activities that bring clients joy such as puzzles, games, reading and hobbies

Education

High school diploma (or equivalent)

Active Home Care Aide (HCA) registration in Virginia

CPR certification

Six months of healthcare experience (preferred)

Covid-19 vaccination card

Valid driver’s license

Valid I-9 documentation

Current TB test or X-ray

Compassionate nature
