Job summary

Iowa Home Care in West Des Moines is seeking a compassionate Home Health Aide / CNA for part-time roles. You’ll provide personal care, support daily routines, and help clients live safely at home.

Under RN supervision you’ll take vital signs, assist with mobility, manage light housekeeping, and follow infection control protocols while delivering kind, patient-centered care during every visit. Valid CNA certification and a valid driver’s license are preferred, and you’ll join a supportive team

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• CNA certification in good standing preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience in home care, nursing home, or hospital settings preferred.
• Strong communication skills; ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation and insurance required.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including bathing, grooming, oral hygiene, and mobility support.
• Take and record vital signs as directed.
• Assist with toileting, catheter care, and G-tube care.
• Help with light housekeeping such as laundry, dishes, and vacuuming.
• Follow infection control and safety protocols using appropriate PPE.
• Communicate any changes in condition to the RN and care team.
• Offer emotional support and a compassionate presence during every visit.
