Job summary

A First Name Basis (AFNB) in Jackson, MS, is seeking compassionate Caregivers to join our in-home care team. You will provide personal care, companionship, light housekeeping, and transportation to visits across our service area.

We offer full-time, part-time, PRN and weekend schedules with competitive pay. Requirements include a HS diploma or GED, valid ID, reliable transportation, and ability to pass background checks and onboarding processes.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• CNA certification preferred; DSW or PCA experience welcomed.
• Ability to travel to client homes and pass onboarding/background checks.
• Willingness to complete competency assessments and ongoing training.
• Must be able to work independently in home settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care support (bathing, grooming, dressing, etc.).
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Light housekeeping and meal preparation; assist with feeding.
• Medication reminders and accompany to appointments.
• Monitor health and report changes in client condition.
• Maintain a clean, safe home environment and use safety equipment.
• Travel to patient homes and accompanying visits across service area.
• Complete required in-service training on hire and annually.
