Job summary

LSSI in Illinois is seeking a compassionate Home Care Aide to assist clients with daily living activities, light housekeeping, meals, and transportation to appointments.

You will observe client needs, report changes, and maintain accurate records while delivering respectful care. Training is provided, and full-time benefits include health coverage, paid time off, and a supportive team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Background check clearance required.
• Must complete required training prior to direct service work.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Observe client functioning and report changes to supervisor or employer; notify supervisor of changes.
• Assist with household chores, including meal planning and cooking, beds, cleaning, laundry, and general cleaning.
• Assist with activities outside the home, such as shopping and appointments.
• Assist with activities of daily living and personal care (bathing, grooming, reminders, nail care, etc).
• Assist with ambulation, positioning, toileting, and transfers.
• Complete records documenting service provisions; follow the plan of care and report changes.
• Maintain professional, respectful conduct toward clients, families, and colleagues.
