Visiting Angels Longview is seeking a Patient Care Assistant - PCA to provide compassionate in-home care to seniors in East Texas, including Longview and surrounding communities. Join a local team dedicated to supporting independence and comfort for clients.

Roles include light housekeeping, mobility assistance, meal prep, medication reminders, and companionship. Training opportunities in dementia or Alzheimer’s care are available to help you grow.

Qualifications

• Passion to serve others and provide compassionate in-home care
• Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid
• Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with focus on dietary needs
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
• Respectful and compassionate demeanor
• Good time management skills
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong ethics
• Physical endurance
• High school diploma or equivalent

Responsabilités

• Help clients take prescribed medication
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility
• Assist with personal care and hygiene
• Assist with routine exercises
• Plan and prepare meals with client input
• Do client’s shopping or accompany them shopping
• Perform light housekeeping duties
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion
• Report any unusual incidents
• Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies
