Job summary

Visiting Angels Tyler is hiring a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) to support seniors in East Texas with compassionate in-home care. The role focuses on mobility assistance, personal care, meal planning, light housekeeping, and companionship in clients' homes.

We provide opportunities for advanced training in dementia or Alzheimer’s care to help caregivers grow their skills while serving the Tyler community. Join our local team and make a real difference for families in need.

Qualifications

• 2 Years Previous Caregiving Experience
• Valid Driver's License and vehicle with insurance
• Commitment to compassionate home care
• Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid

Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
• Help clients with routine exercises
• Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion
• Report any unusual incidents
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
