Job summary

Visiting Angels Montgomery is seeking a Patient Care Assistant - PCA to support seniors in the Central Alabama area with compassionate, in-home care. The role includes personal care, mobility support, light housekeeping, meal preparation, and transportation assistance.

Training opportunities in dementia or Alzheimer's care are available to grow your skills. The ideal candidate will be a true caregiver with excellent communication, time management, and a commitment to high health and safety

Qualifications

• Passion to serve others and be a true caregiver.
• Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid.
• Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints.
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.
• Respectful and compassionate, with strong ethics.
• Good time management and outstanding communication.

Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication.
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside.
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Help clients with routine exercises.
• Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients.
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop.
• Perform light housekeeping duties.
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion.
• Report any unusual incidents.
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency.
