A First Name Basis (AFNB) is hiring Personal Care Assistants to support seniors and individuals with disabilities in Blacksburg, SC and surrounding communities. The role offers full-time or part-time schedules and a starting wage of $14 per hour, with overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid ID, reliable transportation, and travel to client homes.
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen.
• Willingness to complete competency assessments.
• Ability to work independently in home settings.
• Background screening and onboarding compliance.
• Kind, caring attitude with compassion and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including bathing, grooming, dressing, and oral hygiene.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Light housekeeping and meal preparation; assist with feeding.
• Medication reminders and accompany clients to appointments.
• Monitor health and report changes to supervisors.
• Maintain a clean, safe client environment.
• Travel to client homes reliably for visits.
• Complete in-service training upon hire and annually.
• Document care provided according to standards.
