Job summary

AbaCares Services is seeking a compassionate Personal Care Assistant to provide in-home care for clients in the Philadelphia area. You will assist with daily activities, personal care, mobility, and companionship in the comfort of clients' homes.

The role requires a high school diploma, caregiver experience, and a non-negotiable car for transportation. Schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, 9 AM–4 PM. We offer a supportive team and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Proven experience as caregiver or PCA.
Must pass a comprehensive background check.
Ability to follow care plans with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with personal care tasks, such as bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming.
Support clients with mobility, transferring, walking, and home navigation.
Provide companionship and engage clients in activities.
Prepare meals per dietary needs and assist with feeding.
Perform light housekeeping to keep a clean home.
Monitor and report changes to the care management team.
Accompany clients to appointments and run errands as needed.
Follow all company policies and maintain high ethical standards.
