Job summary

AbaCares Services in Philadelphia, PA is seeking a compassionate Personal Care Assistant to provide in-home support with daily living activities, mobility assistance, and companionship. You will follow care plans, monitor client wellbeing, and ensure safety in the clients' homes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a Caregiver, Personal Care Assistant, or similar role.
• Must pass a comprehensive background check.
• Ability to follow care plans with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong, compassionate communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming.
• Support mobility needs, including transfers and safe navigation of the home.
• Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities.
• Prepare meals according to dietary needs and assist with feeding if necessary.
• Perform light housekeeping to keep a clean, comfortable home.
• Monitor health status and report changes to the care team.
• Accompany clients to appointments and help with errands as needed.
• Adhere to company policies and maintain high ethical standards.
