Job summary

One You Love Homecare Oakland Central seeks compassionate caregivers to provide companionship, transportation, dementia support, and non-medical personal care in clients' homes. You will help clients maintain independence while ensuring dignity and safety.

Responsibilities include daily living assistance, meal prep, mobility support, and light housekeeping, with flexible scheduling (days/evenings/weekends). Prior caregiving experience and a valid driver's license preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in caregiving, home care, or related field preferred.
• Dementia care certifications or experience is a plus.
• State certification and license in good standing, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Assist with daily living activities, including personal care and mobility.
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding.
• Maintain client safety and report changes in condition.
• Observe infection control and follow care plan protocols.
• Provide transportation for appointments and activities.
• Perform light housekeeping and laundry.
• Remind clients to take medication.
• Clock in/out and document all tasks.
