Job summary

AMERICAS HOME & HEALTH CARE CORP in California is seeking a Home Care Aide to join our team. You will work with patients in their homes, following a one-on-one care plan and delivering personalized, compassionate care with strong communication.

The ideal candidate has a High School diploma or GED, at least two years of caregiver experience, a valid driver’s license, and TB testing. Schedule is flexible and oriented toward patient wellbeing.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years caregiver experience preferred (family care allowed).
• Driver’s license required.
• Tuberculosis test required.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily activities such as moving in and out of beds, baths, wheelchairs, or automobiles
• Care for patients by changing bed linens, doing laundry, light cleaning, or assisting with personal care
• Maintain records of patient care, condition, progress, or problems to report and discuss observations with the supervisor
• Build relationships with patients by conversing or reading aloud to help keep them mentally healthy and alert
• Medication Reminders
• Engage patients in exercises or other activities
