Job summary

Interim HealthCare of Vacaville, CA is seeking compassionate Home Care Aides/Caregivers to support seniors at home. You’ll perform personal care, meal prep, light housekeeping, and companionship, helping clients live safely and happily in familiar surroundings.

We offer competitive pay ($19–$22/hr), 1:1 client assignments, flexible scheduling including Fri/Sat/Sun 6am–6pm shifts, and opportunities for online training and tuition discounts. Valid CA HCA registration and CPR are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent) and active HCA registration in CA.
• Six months of experience in a healthcare role preferred.
• CPR certification.
• Covid-19 vaccination card.
• Valid CA driver’s license, auto insurance and transportation.
• Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide the personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation and companionship
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises
• Provide medication reminders, document their condition and notify a supervisor of any concerns
• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways
• Participate in activities that bring clients joy such as puzzles, games, reading and hobbies
