Job summary

JFS at Home is seeking compassionate Home Health Aides to join our Palm Beach County team for private-duty care. You will provide one-on-one support in clients' homes, promoting independence, safety, and comfort while documenting care and coordinating with the care team.

Qualifications

• Florida HHA certificate with 40 hours minimum.
• At least one year of home care or healthcare experience.
• Current CEUs as required by Florida.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Experience with Hoyer lifts and safe transfer techniques preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently in a client's home.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one in-home care promoting independence, dignity, comfort, and safety.
• Assist with personal care: bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting.
• Support mobility, transfers, positioning, and ambulation.
• Medication reminders as permitted by policy.
• Accompany clients to medical appointments, errands, and outings.
• Plan and prepare meals while monitoring nutrition.
• Safe transfers using gait belts, wheelchairs, Hoyer lifts, and equipment.
• Provide companionship and meaningful engagement.
• Light housekeeping and client-related laundry.
• Grocery shopping and essential errands.
• Observe and report changes in client condition or environment.
• Document care provided accurately and timely.
• Follow agency policies, care plans, and safety procedures.
• Participate in ongoing training and quality improvement.
