Job summary

Care Builders at Home is seeking experienced caregivers to provide non-medical homemaker and companion services in clients’ homes. You will follow individualized care plans, ensure safety, assist with daily living activities, and offer companionship to help clients maintain independence and dignity.

The role requires caregiving experience, HHA or CNA certification, and a valid driver’s license where transportation is provided.

Qualifications

• Caregiving experience required.
• HHA or CNA certification required.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Follow a detailed care plan and complete daily reporting post shift.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record if transportation is provided.
• Pass criminal background check and motor vehicle records check.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for periods.
• Maintain client confidentiality and privacy.
• Comply with elder abuse reporting requirements.
• Compassionate, professional, and excellent communicators.
• Passion for improving lives of older adults.
• Exposure to pets and varied home environments.

Responsibilities

• Follow individualized care plans and communicate any changes in condition.
• Provide safety oversight.
• Assist clients with personal care (bathing, dressing, toileting).
• Support safe mobility (Hoyer lift preferred).
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Escort clients to appointments, errands, or community activities.
• Light housekeeping, laundry, and household organization.
• Meal planning and preparation according to dietary needs.
• Grocery shopping and errands.
• Perform other duties within agency scope.
• Adhere to Care Builders at Home policies.
