Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Experience in institutional housekeeping is helpful.
• Experience in use of floor-care equipment is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and sanitizes patient rooms, bathrooms, and common areas daily.
• Uses chemicals properly and washes or dries floors as directed.
• Empties trash and disposes of waste in proper receptacles.
• Vacuums carpets as directed by Supervisor.
• Cleans windows with proper chemicals and equipment.
• Reports repairs or safety hazards to Supervisor or maintenance department as appropriate.
• Requests needed supplies and equipment from Supervisor.
• Identifies and corrects safety hazards and abides by safety rules.
• Has reviewed Cantex Continuing Care Network Policy and Procedures for Abuse Prevention and knows the employees responsibility to enforce it.
• Attends weekly in-services and complies with Patient Care Management Systems.
• Responsible for assuring patient/resident safety.
• Performs other duties and tasks as assigned.
