Job summary

Cantex is seeking a Housekeeping Assistant to perform scheduled housekeeping tasks across patient rooms and common areas. The role supports the Housekeeping Supervisor by mopping, dusting, vacuuming, window cleaning, and furniture care in accordance with Facility protocols.

Qualifications

• Experience in institutional housekeeping or maintenance is helpful.
• Experience with floor-care equipment is helpful.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and sanitizes patient rooms, bathrooms, and common areas daily per Facility protocols.
• Uses proper chemicals in proper portions; mop floors as directed.
• Empties trash, replaces liners, and disposes of waste properly.
• Vacuum carpets as directed by Supervisor.
• Washes and dries windows using appropriate chemicals and equipment.
• Reports repair needs to Supervisor or maintenance department as appropriate.
• Requests needed supplies and equipment from Supervisor.
• Identifies and corrects safety hazards and adheres to safety rules.
• Follows Cantex Continuing Care Network Policy and Procedures for Abuse Prevention.
• Attends weekly in-services and complies with Patient Care Management Systems.
• Ensures patient/resident safety.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
