Elderhaus in Wilmington, NC is hiring a Driver for Healthcare to provide safe, timely transportation for participants and to deliver meals and essential supplies. You will help participants board and alight, keep vehicles clean, and maintain accurate trip records while coordinating with dispatch and the interdisciplinary team.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, at least 23 years old, and a NC driver's license, with preference for 1 year of eldercare experience and strong

Formación

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum one year of experience with frail or elderly adults preferred.
• Must be at least 23 years old to meet insurance requirements.
• Valid North Carolina Driver’s License required.
• Ability to read and understand maps and routing information.
• Strong interpersonal skills; communicate respectfully with participants, caregivers and staff.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in stressful situations.
• Knowledge of transportation safety practices and universal precautions.

Responsabilidades

• Safely transport PACE participants according to schedules and communicate changes to dispatch.
• Transport meals, durable medical equipment, pharmacy items, and other supplies.
• Provide physical assistance to participants entering and exiting vehicles.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and complete pre- and post-trip inspections.
• Report vehicle malfunctions or safety concerns to the Transportation Coordinator.
• Operate vehicles in line with licensing, regulatory, and organizational requirements.
• Maintain transportation-related records including mileage and fuel purchases.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team communication regarding participant care.
• Adhere to OSHA guidelines and Elderhaus policies.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and attend required training.
• Maintain confidentiality of participant information.
