Qualifications

Current Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry at hire or comparable credential
Completion of one semester of clinical rotation in accredited nursing program
Enrollment in and successful completion of Hennepin Healthcare Nursing Assistant program
6 months of acute nursing assistance experience

Responsibilities

Assist patients with activities of daily living including hygiene, grooming and bathing
Respond promptly to call lights and communicate needs to the care team
Perform vital signs and input/output as protocol
Conduct routine measurements and point-of-care testing as assigned
Record observations in the EHR and communicate changes to the nurse
Maintain clean, stocked patient rooms and assist with transfers
Support regulatory standards and patient-centered care initiatives
