Job summary

Service Corporation International in Arlington, TX seeks a Transfer Specialist to coordinate care, removal, and transport of the deceased. You will drive company vehicles, maintain cleanliness, and present a professional appearance when meeting families.

You will follow chain-of-custody, complete paperwork, interact with families respectfully, and enter event information into our software. This role requires flexibility for weekends and nights and physical ability to lift up to 75 pounds.

Qualifications

• Customer interaction and compassionate communication with families.
• Ability to work non-standard hours including weekends and nights.
• Basic computer tasks for data entry and record keeping.
• Physical capability for lifting and moving items as required.

Responsibilities

• Safely drives company owned vehicles to perform transfers of deceased according to policies.
• Follows chain-of-custody and paperwork for deceased identification.
• Cooperates with first responders, hospital staff, or care facilities as needed.
• Interacts with bereaved families during home transfers with sensitivity.
• Transports caskets and assists with moving them to appropriate locations.
• Maintains and cleans vehicles; fuels as needed.
• enters transfer information into proprietary software per procedures.
